stats and cyber monday

Before I get into the nitty gritty (aka the good stuff), I want to share a few Cyber Monday deals I've come across.  I'm sure everyone's inbox was flooded with sale emails this morning and if you're anything like me, I tend to get overwhelmed and just delete all the emails.  I don't have the willpower to sift through 50 websites for something I might like that I didn't even know I needed just to save some money.  But here are a few items I purchased recently and LOVE so you might as well get them today with the deals.  Easy peasy!

Old Navy: 30% with CYBER
Old Navy: studded | snakeskin | glitter
I originally bought these flats in the snakeskin print a few weeks ago. I've already worn them a handful of times and they are actually comfortable - which is huge! I find that flats are the worst for being comfy in the store before turning into weapons of torture just 30 minutes into wearing them. When I saw the other prints last night, I knew I had to have them and that I'd feel good wearing them. The honeycomb infinity scarf is a new staple of mine, as it comes in great neutrals and is unbelievably cozy. I can't find it online anymore but there were still a lot in my local stores. And you can't go wrong with this sweater!

J. Crew Factory: 50% everything, free shipping and extra 10% off with FCM733C2B

I spied this jacket a few weeks ago and immediately texted my mom, "IGNORE PREVIOUS WISHLISTS! This item supersedes everything else!" with a barrage of photos.  Well, I got the jacket this week and it does not disappoint. The color is fabulous and it is warm without being too heavy.  It is called the Factory Skirted Dress Coat and I saw it online but now the website is updating or something.  Too much Cyber Monday traffic!

Francesca's: 30% off sitewide and free shipping

Roxy just got the most adorable faux leather skirt there at a blogger event (damn you, clinicals for making me miss that!) and I'm dying to order it.  I can already envision the countless holiday events where I would wear it: B's work party? Check. Family Xmas dinner? Yup. Sister's rehearsal dinner? You bet.  New Year's Eve? Duh.

Add to the fact that my fox sweater IG post today was a little too similar to her earlier fox sweater post and I look like a stalker.  Good thing I know her IRL and pre-blog because that makes it less creepy, right?

Also lusting over this sequined number and this entire outfit, especially the moto jacket.

Sorry for not changing into workout gear but I was short on time. And I promise I don't have scoliosis, I was just twisted oddly to get a pic of my back in the mirror.
I'm not really keen on putting these numbers out there but it will keep me more accountable.  My goal is to get below 135 lbs. And stay there! For the last year I've floated between 135-141 and I'm just ready to get out of those numbers.

this is getting out of control

Guys, I need an intervention. I have a growing obsession with animal sweaters

No, not sweaters for animals. Though I do have a sweet spot for animals in clothing.

Sweaters that have animals on them.

Right now you can use code ONSAVENOW at oldnavy.com to save 15% on your entire purchase (options 1 & 4-8). Ends 11/7 (TONIGHT!).  The fox sweater is mostly sold out online but you might have better luck finding it in your local store. I scored the last one at my store which was a L and it is perfectly slouchy for leggings and boots!  Old Navy also offers free shipping for any orders over $50.

Piperlime (option 3) is offering 25% off some winter attire with code WINTER. I'm not sure if that sweater qualifies. And even though I didn't show any Gap options, they are offering 30% off everything in stores and online with code GAPFRIENDS through 11/11. No restrictions. If you've been eying camo pants like me, now is the time to get them!

Are you feeling the animal sweater trend? How would you style it?

project procrastination

I have a final tomorrow and am burnt out but nowhere near done studying, so what's a blogger to do? Make some coffee and blog until her focus returns!  Thankfully, Ashley and Neely put out some great questions for this week's Sunday Social and it doesn't require too much of my precious and limited brainpower.

1. What is currently on your wishlist?

What perfect timing! My birthday is later this month and then Christmas is around the corner.  I sent my mom my annual Wish List today so I'll just give you the highlights here.

Frenchie sweater // cookbook // leopard flats // socks // giftcards // vest // watch

Please note: no one I know can afford those actual shoes. But a girl can dream!

2. Share a new app you've recently discovered that we all need.

TimerCam and Men's Wearhouse Group Manager are pretty sweet little apps. And free!  Granted, you only need that second one if you're planning an event with suit rentals required. But I love that I can check in on which groomsmen have yet to get fitted and then email them reminders straight from my phone. Helps keep this bride's sanity in check.

3. What is a new fall TV show that you've added to your DVR?

Well, B has taken over the DVR (despite resisting it in the first place) so I mostly watch shows on my iPad.  Speaking of apps, if you don't have the ABC, NBC and CBS apps then I'm pretty sure you're not iPadding right. I am loving Trophy Wife.  I have loved Malin Ackermann since 27 Dresses and I want to be Diane when I grow up.

4. Share your social media links so we can follow you!

instagram: @cregan85 (my fav)
twitter: @yfgblog

5. What is a TV show, movie or song that you could watch or listen to over and over and never get tired?

Could this be anymore obvious?*  Didn't we all spend our formative years (and hungover college days) watching Friends and SATC reruns nonstop?

*If you didn't get that Chandler reference then how are we friends??

Alright, back to studying.  This girls needs to learn a whole lot about the liver before 9am.

binge shopping

We all do it.

You set a budget for yourself and stick to it.  No shopping for X time - in my case, it's been a few months.  But then I had to go to Target to get some birthday supplies and it's all downhill from there.  I'm pretty sure I blacked out and when I came to I was surround by bags.

The good news? I've got some deals for you in there too.

Let's assess the damage, shall we?

Target
Object of my affection. Subject of an intense love/hate relationship.  If you don't already have the Cartwheel app, then you need to get it. It doesn't cost anything but you can "save" deals on your app and then there is just one barcode for the cashier to ring up - straight off your phone.  Anything you purchase that meets the requirements of the deals are automatically discounted.  So easy! No printing coupons from the site, no clipping.  And the best part is you can search for the items you've picked up to see if there happens to be a deal on them.  That's like free money!

I scored 20% off on Women's Fashion Boots and picked up some low booties that I've been eying for a while now. I love the trend but wasn't sure if I could pull them off.  So, like any intelligent woman, I purchased 3 pairs and will be trying them out at home with various outfits over the next few days to decide which pairs I'll keep. (My money is on all of them.)
New Booties

As you can see, there may be even more shopping in my future. I was also able to snag a fabulous faux fur vest from the children's department for just $22.99 and some excellent tights to wear with the booties.  Try Xhilaration Opaque Juniors Fashion Tights for good quality and fun colors at a price you can't beat.

Tobi
It is no secret to my friends and family that I'm having a moment with loose, longer shirts that are fitted in the sleeves. It started with the super soft Piko tops and then I saw that The Southern Wife ordered some fabulous long-sleeve options from Tobi. I love wearing them with pants, crops, shorts and accessorizing with long necklaces, bangles, scarves and soon my new vest!  But I've been a bag blogger and haven't taken too many any #ootd pics lately.

The best part about Tobi is you automatically get a 50% code when you sign up - FOR YOUR ENTIRE PURCHASE.  No limit.  No minimum. No gimmick.  Just sign up and they email you the code.  No, they are not paying me to say this (but I would love to do a sponsored post for them!).  And if you can get other people to sign up, you can earn more discounts... so please consider using this link to sign up! Shameless plug :)

LOFT
If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, then you already know that I was at LOFT last night doing some damage with Roxy.  If you don't follow me, then what are you waiting for? I post cool stuff on IG and I'm still learning about the twitter. But LOFT tweeted me back today so... I'm pretty much famous.

I got an email from them yesterday about 50% EVERYTHING in stores and online.  Then I got another email today saying that online is still 50% off everything! I was aiming to get a pair of ankle length skinny jeans to wear with my new boots but I found so much more.  (Sidenote: this sounds like If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.  If you buy a blogger boots, she's going to want new jeans to go with those boots.  And if she gets new jeans, she's going to need some accessories as well.) I honestly didn't expect to spend anything but the deals were too good to pass up.  I also purchased a $25 LOFT Cares Card.  90% of the cost of the card goes to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and it will save you 20% off all purchases over $100 between now and November 15th.  I probably won't use it again, but it saved me an additional $40 on top of my 50% savings - meaning it paid for the card itself plus $15.  Savings + good cause = win win in my book.

What are your fall essentials? Any good deals out there I should know about?

PS - If you ever want to know what size I got, just ask! I like to play with proportions so I sometimes purposely size up or down in an item :)
